Each cottage comes complete with...
- Linens, towels, dishes, pots & pans, kitchen utensils, blankets and comforters.
- Private bathroom with shower.
- A soaking tub on the deck.
- While connection for TV channels is not provided, a TV and DVD movies and player are placed in each cottage for your enjoyment. Feel free to bring your own DVDs.

Wit's End Cottage
Wit's End's den features comfortable chairs and a sofa, air conditioning, peaceful woodland and meadow views.
The kitchen includes a full-function electric cook stove with oven and refrigerator with freezer, microwave, coffee maker and blender.
The cottage bedroom has a double (full size) bed, dresser, and the bathroom. A "ship's ladder" leads from the kitchen up to the cottage loft, which features two single beds. The cottage accommodates two people in the bedroom, two more in the loft, plus a futon (sofa bed) in the den.
We limit the Wit's End cottage to 6 guests at a time.

Firefly Cottage/Treehouse
The Firefly is a uniquely designed treehouse, high among Ozark oak trees. Sleep nestled among the branches. Experience the cool breeze through the trees in the evenings under a canopy of fairy lights. Watch wildlife from the decks overlooking native habitat.
Dine and relax below in the comfortable living/dining/kitchen area. Firefly comes complete with a full kitchen, full bath and gas grill. It has a large soaking tub hidden away in a private nook off the deck.
The bedroom has a queen size bed, plus a futon sofa bed suitable for use by one or two children, or possibly for one adult. An electric kart is at your disposal for touring the many trails and for riding to the beautiful Eleven Point River gravel bar and deck and boat launch and picnic area.
Firefly is ideal for two people. We can also accommodate one or two children on a futon sofa bed in the bedroom. We limit the number of guests at Firefly to maximum 2 adults and 2 children.
Canebrake Cottage
Canebrake features a full kitchen with a refrigerator, electric range and oven, microwave, coffee maker, blender and a full gas grill on the deck. The bedroom has a queen size bed and the living room is furnished with a click-futonr. Canebrake sleeps 2 very comfortably in the bedroom and at least one other, maybe 2, on the futon. The bathroom has a shower and other accommodations.
This cottage has 2 decks, one with comfortable seating, a table and the grill, the other with a soaking tub and bench. We limit the Canebrake cottage to 4 guests at a time.
SWEET ADELINE
The Sweet Adeline is our newest addition to Shady River. It is an authentic, 65 foot paddle wheel boat that was decommissioned and turned into a beautiful 2 bedroom, 1 and 1/2 bath cabin overlooking the Eleven Point River. Enjoy the soaking tub on the bow deck or just relax and listen to the sounds of nature on the upper stern deck outside the private bedroom. This cabin features a queen bed upstairs and a queen bed downstairs, plus a large couch that could sleep one adult or 2 small children. The full size kitchen features all the necessities along with a dining table that seats 6. A gas grill is located on the lower deck and grilling utensils are provided. Guests will also be provided with an electric cart for touring the trails and grounds.
